WE DID IT!

It is such an honor to have each and everyone of you apart of WCR. This includes parents and families of our riders as well. Together we came along way and ended up taking home 9th place out of 21 teams. We had a few set backs and uncertainties throughout the year but all in all for our first year, we think we did an amazing job and its because of ALL of you. The love and support we have as a team is so strong and is very much appreciated by everyone. There are not many teams that get together outside of our busy BMX lives to build the chemistry that we share as a team. So we want to thank each one of you for an awesome year. Way to go! :)

Photos are up so check out our photo page.....

Tanner South Update

Tanner South went into the hospital at 8:30am this morning for his nerve surgery. He finally came out of surgery at around 6pm. The doctor has just informed us the surgery went well. They were able to take a nerve from his leg and throat area to do the nerve graphs. They took a lung nerve and did a nerve transfer. We are hoping that this will fuse 3 of the 5 nerves that were damaged. It will be 3 weeks of immobilization of the arm and neck and then at least 6 months before he may be able to move anything on his own. They are hoping for shoulder and elbow movement and possibly wrist movement as well. They will not know anything on finger movement for about three years. He will need another surgery for that. Our prayer request is now for his body to accept this alteration. He still is not in recovery yet but has done exceptionally well so far. Jill will let us know when they have a room. He is expected home by the weekend. Thank you for your prayers and support. Get well soon buddy!

JEWELRY PARTY - FEBURARY 28th 2008

So fathers, mothers, friends , and family buy your mothers day and graduation gifts now. For more information please call Terry at 239-404-6376

It was a great weekend for racing at Highlands. Weather conditions gave us a challenge but everyone did an awesome job! Even with a few crashes we still managed to pull a 12th on Saturday and a 9th on Sunday. We are proud of each and everyone of you. We are a class act and it shows on and off the track.

Thank you to all the parents who helped, it is extremely appreciated. Its important that ALL riders are eating and drinking constantly throughout the day. We would also like to incorporate some things at the next qualifier that a few of us learned from Velocity Sports Performance Center. A BIG THANKS goes out to them as well for donating gatorade to keep our riders cool and hydrated.

**Parents and riders please keep in mind for team results, ONLY the motos count NOT the mains. So it is important that each rider gives it their all EVERYTIME they race.

Next up is the Jacksonville Qualifier which is hosted on April 19th and 20th. More info coming soon.

The South family was extremely excited to bring Tanner out to Charlotte BMX this past weekend.  92.9 Kix Country also broadcasted live from the track and did a personal interview with Tanner.

They appreciate all the love and support that our BMX family has to offer and continues to offer. Tanner himself couldn't’t say thank you enough.

It was great to see a lot of our riders attend this benefit race even though this was not a team event. Great job everyone; we wear our Jersey’s proud!

Its been a pleasure having everyone apart of WCR. We are off to a great start for the New Year and we look forward to the Qualifier in Coral Springs. Happy 2008 and lets get to racing! PS. Don't forget to wear your team Jersey's every time you RACE!

A strong team from Michigan won the 2007 President's Cup December 27 in Columbus, Ohio.  The annual state against state competition is one of the major competitions of the National Bicycle League.  Florida's team fell short of winning by just two points in the event.  Illinois, California, and Ohio rounded out the top five.  Michigan becomes just the fourth team to win in the competition's history, along with Florida, Indiana and Ohio.

Some of our riders will be racing for Florida at the annual President's Cup in Columbus, OH on December 27th 2007. Its an exciting event and can be watched live online at www.go211.com. They will also be filming the Christmas Classic and UCI Qualifier which is also held in Columbus, OH. Good luck to our riders and lets bring the cup home to Florida!

NEW SPONSOR!!!

Psyhopath Industries is our new team sponsor! They make awesome BMX frames from race to street. Please let me know if you are interested in a frame at our special team rate. Check out their website at www.psykopath.com for their latest news and products.

The Presidents Cup and Christmas Classic are right around the corner and we would like to wish everyone who is going the best of luck. It’s going to be an amazing experience. Drive safe and don’t forget to take lots of photos so we can put them up on our website.

Again, good luck and let’s bring the cup back to Florida!

It was great to see everyone at practice last night. Jerseys were handed out and money was collected for the T-Shirts and race logs. If you ordered shirts or race logs and have not paid for them please see Valerie or Marie up in Daytona. They will be collecting the money there as well.We are expecting to have our shirts for this weekends qualifier however the company that is doing the screen printing and embroidery has had some setbacks. We are keeping our fingers crossed in hopes to have them in time but if not we will have them next week.

Also if you or your children did not receive awards at the Charlotte Qualifier please let Valerie know so she can pick them up for you.

Drive safe and see you at the races!

GO West Coast Racing!!!!!!!!!!
